The Job Description:
Siemens is seeking Software Engineers to join their Research & Development team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing Siemens' Simcenter Amesim product suite—the industry-leading system modeling and simulation software. Your responsibilities will be twofold:
Contributing to Desktop Application Evolution: You will work collaboratively with the development team to design, implement, and validate new features of the software core platform and graphical interface. Your expertise in writing clean, robust, and maintainable code will be instrumental in minimizing technical debts and defects over time. You should have a solid understanding of UI and UX best practices, ensuring that the web applications you design are user-friendly and loved by customers.
Leading the Cloud Transition: Siemens is on a mission to transition their applications to the cloud. As part of this initiative, you will tackle complex architectural problems and technical challenges. Your creativity and innovation will be key as you pioneer ideas to support Siemens' cloud strategy. This transition will involve addressing the intricacies of the desktop-to-cloud move and shaping the future of the company's software offerings.
Qualifications and Skills:
To thrive in this role, Siemens is looking for candidates with the following qualifications: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.Proven experience in researching, designing, and implementing software.
Proficiency in frontend and backend software development using frameworks and languages such as React, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Node.js.
Knowledge and interest in CI/CD practices, Containers (Docker), and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, with fluency in C++ (QT framework is an advantage).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to contribute effectively in an international context.
